My Yamaha DTXpress Electronic Drumset was working fine, then the Bass (kick) stopped making any sound… I tested it and it works plugged into other slots (snare, hi hat, etc;) so it’s not the kick pedal or the cord, and no other drum/cord works in the bass slot, so I KNOW it is somewhere internally, or is a problem with the actual input jack itself..
Is there anywhere I can send it to have it worked on by a PROFESSIONAL or someone who knows about these things? I have a couple local "electronics" stores around here, but chances are they’ve never even seen one of these, much less tried to troubleshoot or fix one.. I live in Cookeville TN, and there aren’t a lot of ACTUAL "professionals" to this kind of stuff around here.
Before sending it anywhere I would make sure that all of the parameters on the kick drum trigger input are as they should be and check the volume output on the kick drum sound your using. If you’re not comfortable with that you could try a factory reset. This will put all of its settings back to the way it came out of the box. CAUTION! If you have any custom patches stored it will delete all of them!
1) Press the [UTIL] button.
2) Press the ‘PAGE’ button until the ‘Factory Set’ screen appears. The message ‘Factory Set’ will begin flashing on the LCD.
3) Press the [SAVE/ENT] button. The LCD will display the message prompt, ‘All data will be lost, Are You Sure?’.
4) Press the [SAVE/ENT] button again to complete the Factory Reset procedure.
If this doesn’t work call DAT Pro Audio over in Crossville- 931-484-8442. They are a Yamaha dealer.

Can you take it to a local music store that carries Yamaha products?
Maybe a Guitar Center?
At the very least, you should be able to call Yamaha to find out where to send it:
