Yamaha a lansat recent Yamaha DTX Multi 12, un ozn destinat percutiei de aproape toate felurile, toate stilurile si genurile ce prezinta 12 paduri si un modul de sunet incorporat.

Yamaha DTX Multi 12 propune peste 1200 de tonuri acoperind zona de tobe si percutii dar si sunete de clapa si synth multe dintre ele preluate de pe Yamaha Motif dar si altele noi. Pot fi create si salvate peste 200 de seturi noi folosind tonurile cu care vine si cele 42 de efecte onboard.

Yamaha DTXplorer

These are the DTXplorer’s running through midi to my Axiom 61 and from there to my computer, into Ableton Live, where I triggered them with Addictive Drums.

I did this by using eDrum Midi Mapper and LoopBe1.

a DIY midi drum pad

The SynPad is a position sensitive midi drum pad that you can build yourself using simple materials and tools for around 50 UK pounds (depending on what materials you already have, and how many pads you want to make.) The pad can detect where you have hit it as well as how hard, so that the synth it is driving can change the sound continuously as you strike the pad in different places.

Five dollar DIY USB MIDI drum pad

using a silicon key pad as a drum pad in ableton live with a simple max patch to convert keystrokes to midi. pretty comfortable to play and very functional for five bucks!

Pickup to Electronic Snare Drum

I made a “home made Drum” out of a guitar pickup and a string within a piece of sponge.
I use Reaktor to translate the signal with its amplitube to snare drums.
each punch, with sound a snare drum (not the same snare all the time, it changes after every puch) and it has a the amplitude of the punch.
It is very sensitive and there are some great stuff i can do with the reaktor , like setting the dynamic range.
