Installation of MCU Full Drum Pad Silencers (Rock Band)

Hey everyone. We’ve had a lot of questions about our adhesive and how to install our pads as well as how to remove them. This video show the installation of our MCU Full Pads, because that pad is the most complex to install (but still very easy). All of our pads are peel and stick.

Jade will be returning next week with a new review. She’s on vacation at Lake Havasu right now. Via la spring break!

Bill Sanders BS715, 5 piece practice drum kit. Someone has now bought the kit so this video is now a demo I guess…a product review or some shit. It’s a really solid practice kit. I have seen other kits like the pearl model that looks like it would fall over if you really got playing whereas this baby takes a good beating. Lol you wouldn’t believe how many newbie drummers called me asking ‘is it a real drumkit?’ NO muppetsaurus it’s a PRACTICE drumkit. Anyway enjoy…

In addition to the enhanced editing facilities, the TD12 KX features larger, more solid kick and floor tom pads and a sturdier hardware rack with more practical pad mounting and placement. The kit comprises of the brain or central processor unit, a heavy duty stand (all cables are concealed within the tubing to keep things tidy), one 10 snare pad (PD-105), two 8 rack tom pads (PD-85), one 10″ floor tom (PD-105), a 12 kick pad (KD-120), three 12 cymbal pads (CY-12R/C) and Rolands unique VH-11 Hi-hats. All of the TD12KX’s drum pads have duel pad and rim triggering, and feature the high quality mesh heads which have earned Roland the reputation of the most natural feeling electronic drum kit on the market. It’s also possible to expand the kit by adding extra cymbals or pads.
The TD12 brain unit shares many of the same features as the processor on the high-end range TD20 model. Similarities include a large icon-based LCD screen, instrument mixer and sturdy metal construction.You will find over 500 separate drum, cymbal and percussion sounds onboard (and a staggering 171,000 variations of these sounds!)all of which can be used to create your perfect kit, or to customise one of the 50 preset kits.

The sounds are incredibly realistic and respond just like a real drum would, depending on how hard or fast you play. Every instrument is fully customisable, allowing you to modify almost anything from the virtual shell depth and head tension of the drum to how many bits of gaffa tape youd put on the skin to dampen it! The TD12KX also allows you to add varying degrees of ambience to the sounds via its comprehensive multi-effects and reverb processor. It’s also fully MIDI compatible and will integrate seamlessly with any MIDI setup.

A welcome addition to the TD12 is the onboard sequencer. This allows you to record yourself (up to 20,000 notes) or jam along with one of the 150 preset patterns and is therefore much more than just a glorified metronome (which, of course, the TD12 also has on-board). Any of the preset loops or instrument sounds can be assigned to any pad for easy triggering, allowing you to integrate them seamlessly into your live performances.

Yamaha YDD60 Drum Pad Demo

The Yamaha YDD60 features everything a basic drumming kit includes: hi-hat and pedal, bass drum pedal, snare drum, tom-toms, upright bass, crash, ride and splash cymbals, plus lots of electronic voices of accesories such as cowbell, tambourine, conga drums, bongoes, etc. It is ideal for the beginner or the practicioner who has no much space or is not allowed to do that much noise (like you humble friend). Here I plugged the YDD60 to an amp, but it is not really necessary for practice purposes. Sound quality is OK and the price is quite affordable. You can also plug in headphones, MP3 and MIDI devices. So, if you have the chance to get one, go ahead and have lots of fun.

The YDD-60 has now been replaced by a new model called the Yamaha YDD-65. It costs around $250. Check it out HERE.
