How do I use my real electronic drum bass pad for RockBand the game?

I have a real bass pad for electric drums, it has the same plug outlet as the rockband bass pedal, but it doesn’t pick up any of my hits. I assume this is because the bass pedal in the game isn’t supposed to be velocity sensitive. But is there a modification I can use to make my pad work so I can use my real bass pedal rather then this fake plastic thing? Thanks.

You can wire just the bass pedal.
