Do electronic drum kits have drum machines attached to them?

There may be some that do but most I have seen do not. If that is the direction you would like to go then consider just buying the pads only without the controller and using something like an Alesis SR-16 drum machine instead. If you want a killer sounding kit though the ddrum’s are hard to beat. My ddrum brain does not do sequencing like a drumm machine, but I can connect a sequencer via midi and have something far more advanced than any drum machine on the market. It really just comes down to what you want to spend.
