I’ve been interested in getting a drum kit for a while now, previously, I’ve put off buying them because they are too expensive. However, looking at classified online ads I’ve noticed that I can afford a kit (especially with a paycheck on the way).
I’m 15, live in a pretty large house, and have a nice room that I could play in (I also have a guitar and electronic piano) so I don’t think noise is much of an issue.
Basically I was just wondering what I should get. Heres what I’ve been looking at:
Electronic: http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-musical-instruments-drums-percussion-Sound-X-Electronic-Drum-Kit-W0QQAdIdZ215608517
Acoustic: http://www.usedcalgary.com/classified-ad/YAMAHA-RYDEEN-DRUM-KIT_12453413
Thanks for your time =)
I would definitly go with the acoustic the only problem is i dont see stands for the cymbls or snare or a hi-hat so you might need to buy that but that is a great buy if you want the electric its really nice but i think you should get a different one cause it seems like a game kit not like a real electronic drum kit…anyways thats my opinion good luck.

acoustic is way better, and you get the fundemental’s easier and when the power goes out you can’t use the electronic drums.

As long as practice volume isn’t an issue, acoustic is always better.
